Hi. I’m Dr. Ryan Johnson from Integrated Chiropractic and today we’re going to be talking about intersegmental traction. This is a great treatment for patients to warm up their spine before the adjustment. Basically what it’s doing is it helps giving some passive traction to all the vertebra in the spine. We’re going to start from the neck, to the midback, to the low back and it’s going to roll up and down your spine in a nice, gentle motion. This table also has vibratory massage as well. So a lot of patients feel comfortable. They feel relaxed and sometimes they even fall asleep and take a nap on the treatment. So Brenda, we have her on about a four-and-a-half level and you can see that nice, passive, gentle motion of her spine. So what we’re doing is we’re unlocking all the vertebra. This is again great to warm up the spine. It’s great for a post car accident. It’s really safe and gentle and it’s really effective at loosening up the vertebra before you get your chiropractic adjustment. You could see right now we’re at her thoracic spine and we’re heading up this way to her cervical spine in the neck and then it will repeat and it will come back down nice and slow, back down from the midback to the lumbar spine.
